Flexform Groundpiece – sofa system with down cushions

The Groundpiece is a modular sofa that Antonio Citterio designed for Flexform in 2001. In 2016, Flexform called it the undisputed bestseller of its production. The elements have a metal frame with moulded foam. On top of this are goose-down seat cushions with a core of foam and Dacron or of shape-retaining material. The armrests come padded with fabric or in metal covered in leather. They are shaped like consoles and also serve as a surface for putting things down.

Groundpiece two-seater in grey fabric – floor model

This Groundpiece is a two-seater with grey fabric upholstery in the quality LUNAR N. 320. It was on display in a showroom and was never used in a home. The generous seat depth gives two people plenty of room to lean back and put their feet up. The neutral grey can be combined with wood, light walls and colourful cushions.

Why a Flexform Groundpiece floor model?

Flexform started out in 1959 as a small workshop in Brianza and is still a family business today, with its headquarters and factory in Meda. A floor model has only been displayed and never used day to day: the down cushions and fabric upholstery have never been exposed to use in a home.
