Flexform Lightpiece – sofa on transparent feet
Antonio Citterio designed the Lightpiece for Flexform in 2002. According to Flexform, it takes on the stylistic DNA of the Groundpiece but looks lighter: feet in glossy, transparent methacrylate make the sofa seem almost to float. The frame is made of wood and metal with polyurethane padding; the outer frame is steel or leather-covered. The seat cushions are filled with goose down over a shape-retaining insert, or with polyurethane foam and Dacron. The Lightpiece is available as a stand-alone sofa and in corner and modular combinations.
Lightpiece three-seater in blue fabric
This Lightpiece is a three-seater with blue fabric upholstery. The long, straight shape offers room for three people and leaves space to stretch out. With its flat silhouette, the sofa hardly blocks the view, so it works well in front of a window or in an open-plan living area. The blue looks calm and goes well with white, grey and light wood. It is one of a kind.
Why buy a pre-owned Flexform Lightpiece?
Flexform started out in 1959 as a small craft workshop in Brianza and is now a third-generation family business with its headquarters and factory in Meda. Flexform has been working with Antonio Citterio since the 1970s; it is the longest collaboration in the company's history. On the Lightpiece, the covers can be removed in fabric as well as in leather, which makes care easier. This piece has been inspected in eight stations.
