Ligne Roset Ploum – soft seating system by Bouroullec

The Ploum is a seating collection designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Ligne Roset, in production since 2011. Its distinctive tufted appearance comes from a polyurethane foam core wrapped in a stretch fabric cover that is fixed at numerous points across the surface. The Ploum range includes a loveseat, a medium two-seater, and a three-seater sofa, each available in low-back and high-back versions, along with a matching ottoman. Wide armrests and a generous seat depth make the Ploum a sofa built for relaxed, informal sitting.

This Ploum Medium is a high-back two-seater upholstered in blue fabric, accompanied by an ottoman from the same series (109 × 79 cm). The blue sets a calm yet striking accent and pairs well with grey, white, wood, and sandy tones. The sofa seats two comfortably, while the ottoman serves as a footrest, an extra seat, or a side table. Together, sofa and ottoman suit a living room where comfort and a relaxed atmosphere take priority.
