Was macht das Rolf Benz Dono besonders?

Rolf Benz Dono — The wrap-around railing in walnut

The unmistakable face of the Dono is formed by the wrap-around railing – here in warm walnut – combined with a frame of matt brushed stainless steel. From this symbiosis of wood, leather and metal emerges a piece of furniture that works both as a seating landscape and as a floating surface on which to set things down. The three loose back cushions and the two side cushions can be moved freely across the seat – so you decide yourself where to sit, lean and lie. The cream-colored nappa leather has a soft texture and carries the calm, generous lines of Christian Werner's design.

Dono at aaron-gmbh.com — Sustainable Luxury

At 295 cm wide and with a 240 cm deep corner section, this Dono is aimed at everyone who lives generously and wants to both see and feel quality. The low back height keeps the room visually open – the sofa can therefore also be placed freely in the room, with the railing serving as a console for a lamp, a book or a glass towards the rear. Whether as a lounge for the end of the day or as a corner sofa for a large living room: the Dono remains calm, clear and completely practical.

Why buy a used Rolf Benz Dono?

The Dono at aaron-gmbh.com represents the Rolf Benz standard of thoughtful construction. A solid railing, a stainless steel frame and carefully crafted upholstery prove themselves over decades – leather in particular gains character rather than losing it. Every piece is checked and professionally refurbished by us. A used Dono is therefore an investment in timeless design with proven quality – sustainable and at a fraction of the new price.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What makes the Rolf Benz Dono special?

The Dono, designed by Christian Werner, is characterized by a wrap-around railing that appears to float on a frame made of matte brushed stainless steel. In this particular model, the railing is finished in walnut. It frames the seating area and simultaneously serves as a surface for a lamp, book, or glass – making the Dono a sofa that can also stand freely in a room.

How flexibly can the Dono's cushions be arranged?

The Dono manages without fixed armrests. The three loose back cushions and two side cushions can be freely moved across the spacious seating area. Depending on the arrangement, this creates a classic seating position, a lounge corner, or a continuous reclining surface – entirely without the need for mechanical parts.

Which versions is the Dono railing available in?

Rolf Benz offers the Dono railing in leather as well as veneer in oak, walnut, or elm, combined with a frame of matte brushed stainless steel or black painted metal. The corner sofa offered here is equipped with a walnut railing and a stainless steel frame.

How do I care for the Dono's leather upholstery?

Dust the leather upholstery regularly with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. We recommend using a leather care lotion two to three times a year to keep the leather supple. Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to heaters – light leather tones like this beige will otherwise fade.

What distinguishes a refurbished Rolf Benz Dono from a new one?

A refurbished Rolf Benz Dono from Aaron GmbH has been professionally inspected: the frame, railing, upholstery, and leather cover are checked and repaired if necessary. You receive Rolf Benz quality "Made in Germany" for a fraction of the original price – with full design appeal and verified functionality.
